When you do the 7 kilometer long hike around the Kemmelberg (which runs in a circleHostellerie Mont Kemmel ), you will come across a very varied landscape. You will also pass by the winery "De Monteberg".

"Estaminets" with typical interior, extensive beer menu, ... and very popular in northern France, among others. We can't list everyone here. Here are some:

The cities of Poperinge, Ypres, Veurne, ... are well worth a visit.
Lille (Lille), Bailleul (Belle), Cassel, Saint-Omer, Dunkerque (Dunkirk) and the 7 valleys (la vallée de l'Authie, ...) in northern France are also worth a visit.

Nearby Ypres is a "must visit". Every evening at 20h punctually at the Menin Gate the Last Post is blown. The organisation of this daily commemoration is in the hands of the Last Post Association. Respect!

The Ypres cloth halls (with its Belfry) and cathedral are impressive. Definitely worth a visit. Don't forget to visit the "In Flanders Field" museum if you are there.
